Pro-Bono professional services help build Center
The International Freedom Center has already benefited enormously from professional services provided to
it on a pro bono basis by a number of firms:
Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP and its partner Peter Olberg,
Esq. have provided a range of legal services to the IFC, from incorporation, to tax and regulatory filings,
to developing key Center governance, policies and procedures, to contract and intellectual property advice.
Center Chairman and CEO Tom Bernstein noted that, “The counsel of Peter Olberg and his colleagues at Manatt
has enabled the International Freedom Center to get quickly and correctly organized, and to function
appropriately and efficiently. Manatt’s commitment to this project has been unstinting and invaluable.”
Westhill Partners, led by CEO Edward Reilly, has recently undertaken an important branding and marketing
project for the Center, and is currently pursuing a research program on the IFC’s behalf. Dick Tofel, Center
President andCOO, said, “Ed Reilly and the Westhill Partners team have brought a rigor and fresh perspective
to some of the marketing issues we’re facing that adds real value, and should enable us to make a few important
decisions promptly and well. Westhill’s contribution to the International Freedom Center is greatly
appreciated.”
Elliot Horowitz & Co., certified public accountants, has agreed to work pro bono as the
Center’s accountants; Elliot Horowitz is the partner in charge of the account.
The Center wants to express its very special thanks to the entire staff of the Lower Manhattan Cultural
Council, including President Tom Healy and Managing Director Tricia Mire, for generously agreeing to house
our first office within their facilities. The Center's office is located at 120 Broadway, 31st floor,
New York, NY 10271.
